Industry veteran retires from MHA Monahan

After 44 years in the industry, MHA Monahan’s Rory O’Donnell has announced his December retirement from the profession.

O’Donnell will continue to support Group Silverline Ltd as a Director following his retirement from MHA Monahan, utilizing his experience from across the South West and London.

Simon Tombs, Managing Partner for MHA Monahans, said: “Rory has made an outstanding and enduring contribution to the accountancy profession over the years and we’ve all benefitted from his breadth of knowledge, enthusiasm and good humor.

Accountancy and advisory firm Mazars has welcomed Frank Strachan as its partner and Head of Tax Investigations, where he will focus on driving UK growth.

Strachan formerly worked as Head of Tax for Edwin Coe LLP, and brings over 30 years of experience in representing clients who are subject to HMRC investigations to his new position.

Lindsay Pentelow, Mazars’ UK Head of Tax, said: “Frank’s role as the leader of our controversy practice is critical in helping clients to ensure they pay the right amount of tax and protect themselves as fully as possible from the financial and reputational damage which can occur when disputes arise with the tax authorities.”

Supporting the firm’s tax team across Yorkshire and the North West, Lee brings over 22 years of experience in high net-worth and complex tax planning advisory, supported by her time at EY.
